This is the final song on my album. Thanks to all who have been following its progress the past couple of months.
(NOTE: Cheap laptop speakers do no justice to this song. Mine squeal a lot. Still working on improving the mix. Until then, use headphones or speakers with some bass.)
Huh, it's actually pretty cool what you did with the Harp Hippie organs at the beginning. I really like how you played the equivalent of what usually would be a "melodic bass line" in BETWEEN the unchanging low note (save for the last phrase) and the higher chord. I don't know how to make this make sense. Just. . . lol, whatever you did there, that was rad.
Intuitive but it works! I really like how you can still hear the progression but the lower tones aren't changed too much. Because that would change the balance of the song too fast. By doing what you did, it was like, just right. And THEN you lower the low note at the end of the intro. If you had done that before I don't think I would have felt it as strongly . . . therefore, saving it for later in this case = good emphasis.
And haha, I just checked your new lyrics sheet. "This stage of life has run its course Fantasia, drown in your remorse!" Is that Fantasia thing meant to be a reference back to the first album?
Yes. That's an angry song. I was really ticked off when I wrote the lyrics...lol I like it a lot, so it'll stay the way it is, but its meaning has pretty much been contradicted now....I think....we'll see...By the time it's released, the purpose may ring more true than ever, but I hope not.

But coincidence? How do you explain this?

But it's not just sound, my friend:

And themes: "Circus Tricks"
Well, I will say that there is no references to such things on the next album....except the "carousel to parts unknown" line in Blue Tiger. lol...

"This stage of life has run its course

Hehe, anger. Let's see how that transcends into a song.
